PAPAN applied for Charter as a component of
ASPAN

PAPAN received Charter during the National
Conference in Washington D.C. as the 25th
Component of ASPAN
Fall
PAPAN's first conference was held in Danville,
PA at Geisinger Medical Center with mostly
Ambulatory Surgery topics.

1986 - Newsletter, Pulse of PAPAN, named by Mary
Betz, Editor
May 17 - seminar with the PSA was first one
to have ASPAN CEU's
1989 - A new logo was approved by the Board
1990 - Cookbook "Cooking with Gas" published
1991 - Pulse of PAPAN improved in format & content
1992 - October 3 - 4
PRIDE IN PACU I Conference
1993 - 10th Anniversary - Special pins to all members
1994 - First Honorary Member Awardee - Lynn Mason
1996 - Name change to Pennsylvania Association of
PeriAnesthesia Nurses
One dues structure established by ASPAN
